About the Speakers
Ryan Thomas
Ryan Thomas has spent more than 11 years in the technology industry,
bringing to his role as Director of the Syrinx SharePoint Practice a
sense of vision, efficiency, and passion for the people and technology
within the organization.
Prior to joining Syrinx in 2004, Ryan had been consulting with
Monster.com as a key contributor in the architecture and implementation
of their migration to the Microsoft .NET platform.
Allan Hirt
Allan Hirt has been using SQL Server in various guises since 1992.
For the past ten years, he has been consulting, training, developing
content, speaking at events, and authoring books, whitepapers, and
articles. His upcoming book Pro SQL Server 2008 Failover Clustering
(Apress) is due to be published in the spring of 2009. He has also
authored various articles for SQL Server Magazine. Before forming
Megahirtz in 2007, he most recently worked for both Microsoft and
Avanade, and still continues to work closely with Microsoft on various
projects including contributing to the recently published SQL Server
2008 Upgrade Technical Reference Guide.
